QUESTION: I was laid off as a management consultant in the high tech world two years ago. My experience is not in the healthcare field, but I do have a BA in psychology and an MA in human development, and I am currently enrolled in a gerontology certificate program. How do I rewrite my resume to enter the healthcare field?
WHAT THE EXPERT SAYS: Your academic credentials are impressive, so a good resume strategy for you would be to place your Education section prominently on the first page (for example, right below an opening qualifications summary and expertise listing). Research specific jobs you are targeting within the healthcare industry so you can tailor your resume accordingly.
