My name is Marina. I have ARDMS license ( sonography), I obtained it in Novemver 2009 in USA. I worked as a sonographer in Russia more than 7 years ago for 3 years. I was looking for some practice (training) to update my skills but all the schoolls require whole course (it's about 2 years of study and a lot of money). I already spent 2 years to get my license here, I am 43 and cannot afford to study again from beginning. I am looking for training (hands-on) in sonography or entry-level position without pay and some supervising while I will be working. If somebody would help me with their advise I will appreciate. This is an excellent article. Experience as an intern at a hospital looks good on a resume. Also if you can get an internship in a doctor's office, you'll learn even more. Unpaid as well. Also apply for all jobs. Even if they list experience required. Apply anyway! Make sure you list references on your resume.
