A Traveler’s Guide to Essay Writing

Many people love traveling because it lets them see other places and gives them benefits according to their wants and needs. For those who love taking photographs of their travels obtain a set of mementos in the places visited. However, it is better for travelers to engage themselves in essay writing – in this way they can document their adventures also in words.



Whether in or outside the country, travels, including itineraries should have documentation. The write up need not be highfalutin; the traveler just needs to state the important facts.



To help travelers in verbally documenting their adventures, here are the following guidelines in essay writing:



1. Where? The traveler must first know the places/itinerary. For example, he is bound to Paris, then Amsterdam. He must make a list of the places, including major landmarks and hotels. The easiest and fastest way of doing this is by writing in bullet form.



2. What? The traveler must indicate his activities in each place. Under the bulleted list, the writer should indicate the detailed list of the activities, such as sight-seeing, photo shoots, and such.



3. When? The traveler should indicate the dates, and even the specific time in the itinerary.



4. Who? This is very important since places have different people, culture, and such. If the traveler has met specific people and befriended them, then these people must have citations in the traveler’s essay.



5. Why? What was the tour for? This part usually comes before the detailed list. Whether due to an official business trip, or a personal tour, the traveler must indicate the purpose of the tour.



After the brief and bulleted list comes the essay writing itself. The traveler can follow the standard guidelines in writing an essay and he may insert personal insights. The write up may serve as a travelogue, but nonetheless, it is more of a personal account of the travels and adventures.
