1) I always had an interest in it because I knew I could use my skills in a different way without being in direct patient care. I started by going to a school and getting a degree in Healthcare Administration 2) Important thing is to always internally and externally within your organization. Build relationships. It's great to get job leads through your network, but that is not everything as it is a small world out there. Do not burn bridges and continue to work hard as your reputation travels with you. 3) I'm in physician practice management. I love it. With this field and degree, I feel there are always challenges and there is great diversity in what you can do. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Did you go to a traditional school or online? What are your thoughts of "Online" Health Administration programs? I only ask, because it's quite tempting for someone who has to work full time with a very demanding job, and has to support her family 3 months out of the year, because her husband is a gym teacher that finally found a job. |
