You can work as a healthcare administrator with a mba you do not nees to change over a masters in healthcare is preferred but you can wit an mba. You do need to get a bachelors in something such as business or something in science in order to work as a healthcare administrator. There is no place that will pay for you to get a bachelors they may pay for you to get your masters but you need to have a bachelors to work as a healthcare administrator aleast and if wanting to work in healthcare administration in a nursing home you will to take an exam to get a license to work in the nursing home even as a healthcare administrator

I have an Executive MBA and would like to pursue Health Administration. I have over 20 years in the Telecom/IT industries. Although I held several positions during my career, I was a Project Manager in the last 10 years. My question is do I need to obtain a degree in Health Administration with an MBA already or can I obtain a Certificate (taking just the courses related to the Healthcare Industry). I also have experience working with doctors and nurses while implementating an online medical record project for a group of cardiologists.

    Thank you
    Sheila
